I'm not supposed to be here. Seriously. Between growing up on the wrong side of the tracks in the '70s and surviving three different cancer diagnoses—the odds have been betting against me for a long time.

The odds are losing.

I spent decades in the service industry—retail, food service, emergency services, hospitality, and thirteen years running my own house cleaning business. When the 2020 pandemic evaporated my business and US politics became a dumpster fire, I decided I was done playing. I sold my condo in Colorado, spent a year in Missouri with my daughter and granddaughter, and finally cashed in on an 8th-grade dream: At 60, I moved to France. I'd never even been to Europe before.

Why Feminist X? Like many women, I have felt anonymous for most of my life. I'm also an 'Elder Gen X'—hence the X. I've lived with the crap wages, the sexual harassment, and the quiet discrimination that comes with being a woman. Hell, that comes with just being a woman. I'm tired of it. And I'm done being quiet about it.

I created this brand for the ones who know that anger is productive, that silence is complicity, and that your edges don't need softening. For women who've been through the fire and deserve clothing that says what they're already thinking—clearly, sharply, and without apology.
